 We
always keep a small stock of 4mm mirror glass, in order that we can re-glaze customers
own frames or make up plain mirrors. We also try to keep a selection of standard
size bevelled mirrors, which are now available in a wide range of sizes, from
10 x 8 inches to 48 x 36 inches. Sizes not in stock can usually be obtained
quickly.
The only limitation regarding
framing mirrors is that being heavier than the normal combination of picture glass
and mount, a bit more consideration needs to be given
to the ability of a moulding to take the weight

 Very
often a mirror needs to be sited in a position where there may be a constraint
on size. If this is the case then bear in mind that the above sizes are just the
glass sizes and certainly if you are thinking of a mirror say 24 x 18 inches or
over then a suitable weight of moulding will increase the overall size by at least
2 inches each way (to 26 x 20).
Cord
or wire can be used in the same way as hanging pictures, however if it is necessary
to have the mirror flush to the wall then we do have special slotted plates
that are hidden from view, but these are not suitable for fixing to all profiles
of moulding. The normal type of brass mirror plate can be used
, these fix the mirror to the wall with screws, but do protrude slightly beyond
the outer edge of the moulding.
